Day ProgramMaking connectionsAdventurous. Confident. Courageous. Active. Cooperative. These are a few of the many qualities that we encourage in people with developmental disabilities at our Community Participation Day Services. Our Support Inc. staff takes an active role in maintaining a facility-based program that functions as a jumping off point for our clients. By adapting our Day Services activities to each individual’s goals, we are able to focus on unique therapeutic outcomes. We help each person develop an individualized plan for growth. This involves group interaction between our clients, staff, and Program Coordinators who act together within an interdisciplinary team. All team meetings are brainstorming events that require active participation by everyone involved, teaching individuals the value of teamwork while determining the best approach to a more independent lifestyle. Day Services provides therapeutic independent living skills programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our facility is geared for those with mobility and other physical challenges, or with therapeutic needs, and is ADA compliant, providing equal opportunity for our customers to enjoy the many activities we have to offer. Some of the activities and therapy opportunities include–
Joining Hands Individuals in our Day Services program can also work as volunteers. This not only adds a circular dimension to our community, but it gives our consumers the ability to experience the gift of giving. Our Community Participation Day Services inspire camaraderie, fellowship, and teamwork. By working with others in various activities a few hours or more each week, our clients gain the skills necessary to participate in the local communities they come into contact with every day.
