Host Home Services
Coming TogetherSome adults with developmental disabilities need a supportive, family environment, and we have many caring and competent Host Home Providers waiting with open arms, ready to receive them. By contracting with both private individuals and families alike, we place adults with developmental disabilities into safe and nurturing homes. By working with an assigned Program Coordinator, each Host Home Provider receives ongoing training in the field of developmental disabilities. Each provider also receives training specific to the persons needs – helping establish a constructive relationship between the Host Home Provider and the individual. The primary goal of a Host Home Provider is to provide the kind of support an adult with developmental disabilities needs to become an active member of the community. Our providers realize this goal by working with Support Inc. in many of the following ways:
These are only a few of the services our Host Home Providers offer by working under our supervision. Support, Inc. also provides important respite services that offer caregivers a welcome break and professional nursing services for added assurance and critical support. Individual needs vary, and our Host Home Providers are thoroughly screened to ensure an appropriate match in every situation. Our Intake Team's depth of personal experience underscores our determination to exhaust all the options when placing a loved one in the right setting. Embracing diversityHost Home Providers cover the spectrum of age, race, religious beliefs and income levels. Backgrounds of successful providers vary, from school bus drivers to business owners to teachers. Our array of Host Home Providers have one thing in common with our staff – we care! We are always ready to welcome flexible, service-oriented Host Home Providers into our growing community. See our Host Home Story.
