Dolma and the Cooper Twins

We would like to highlight Support, Inc. Host Home Provider, Dolma Tsering, for her Outstanding customer service as a provider!  Dolma became a provider to twin girls back in May. Dolma has been met with lots of challenges, but due to Dolma’s patience, understanding and calming presence she has proven to be just what the girls needed to settle in and start to thrive. As the twin’s birthday approached, Dolma knew the one thing they wanted to do was to see their mom. Their mom lives far away and has had transportation issues coming to see them in their new home. Dolma opened her home and invited their mom to celebrate their birthday, when plans fell through and their mom was not able to arrange transportation, Dolma offered to drive to boulder and pick up her up. During their home visit the girls told their Residential Coordinator about their birthday and couldn’t stop talking about Dolma`s kindness and how their mom was able to be with them on their birthday, which was the first time in two years! One of the twins said it was the “best birthday ever because I got to be with my mom.” Dolma, you have truly made a difference in the lives of these girls by taking the time to truly understand what is important to them and then making it happen. Thank you for everything that you do!!!

“Hope has made so many accomplishments over the seven years I have known her! On her own, Hope has accomplished getting her driver’s license, got a job as a caregiver which required being QMAP certified, manages her own money, was able to become fully self-med and increased her amount of alone time within the past year. Her dedication and accomplishments are something to be admired! Support along the way from her Host Home Provider has also been something to be admired! Quality Assurance News & Updates

This month the Support, Inc. QA team is focusing on training- a key part of ensuring we deliver the best possible care to those we serve. Training is more than checking a box to ensure we are following rules and regulations. Trainings and education are designed to assure employees and contractors have the skills and knowledge to carry out their duties and provide quality care.

We use Relias, an online healthcare training platform, to deliver many of our required courses. Relias allows you to learn at your own pace — you can pause, resume, and complete courses when it fits your schedule.
👉 Please log in to your Relias account and make sure all your required trainings are current.

All employees and contractors must complete and recertify in CPR and First Aid every two years. We offer CPR/First Aid sessions at our offices. You may also take an external course — the American Heart Association provides classes statewide. If you take an external course, please submit your certification to your supervisor.

We also offer Safety Care, a crisis prevention course taught by our clinical team. This training is offered at each of our offices and is designed to help staff respond safely and effectively during challenging situations.

If you have any questions about your required trainings or need assistance scheduling a course, please reach out to your supervisor for support.

Host Home Provider of the Month- September

Please join us in congratulating our September Host Home Provider of the Month- Linda Lefrina!!! The below information was provided by her Residential Coordinator, Marina.

“In the short time that I’ve been working with Linda, she has only shown kindness, love, and patience towards both me and the individual she serves (PRS). She goes above and beyond to make sure that the PRS gets everything she needs, including a new wheelchair that she provided to her for free. Linda does an excellent job giving the PRS the time and space to share what she needs and how she feels. This is especially important in the PRS case, as it often takes more time for her to verbalize her wants and needs. She uses a wheelchair 24/7, and requires assistance in all tasks, including eating. Linda works with the PRS on all of her needs without issues or complaints and is always there for her when she needs her. She has been incredibly on top of taking the PRS to medical appointments, especially when something comes up that she notices might need attention. This is a great example of how much time and effort she puts into her PRS, as there are things that have come up where I only would have known about through Linda. She cares so much about what she does, and it’s evident through her timeliness in documentation, her efforts to make the PRS life more enjoyable, and her openness to the entire process. Linda will go out of her way to take the PRS to places in the community because she knows how much she enjoys being out and about. Linda is more than deserving of being nominated for this award. Congratulations, Linda, on being named our September Host Home Provider of the Month and thank you for all that you do!!!

Host Home Provider of the Month

We would like to congratulate, Billie Allor, for being nominated as the August Host Home Provider of the Month!! She is well deserving of this award for her continued effort of going above and beyond for the individuals she serves. Billie continues to support both Beth and Kole while still having the time to find new activities in the community for both of them. She often looks for community activities, one instance was taking Beth and Kole to a drive-in movie theater in Fountain, CO. Billie often supports Kole in difficult times of employment. He once dealt with a very difficult supervisor that at times made Kole feel a bit inadequate. It didn’t take long for Billie to have a word or two with the Supervisor but to remind Kole of how far he had come and how amazing he worked.  She once told us that this is not a job, but more like her family and that Beth is like her best friend!

Billie keeps up with all attendance, appointments and her tracking and documentation is always up to date.

Billie is thoughtful and often advocates for their needs. In one instance Beth wanted her DSP to become her host home provider if anything was to happen to Billie. Billie took it upon herself to make sure that Beth’s DSP was onboarded as a respite provider with Support Inc. just in case. She often helps Kole advocate for himself with his employment manager and Kole reports feeling like apart of Billie’s family rather than just a client living in her home. We appreciate having Billie as a part of the Support Inc. family and are so grateful of the amazing work she does! Congratulations, Billie, on being named our August Host Home Provider of the Month!!!

Finance Team News & Updates

The Finance Department:

Greetings from the Finance Department! We have some team updates and an update on Family Caregiver Independent Contractor Provider pay.

Team Update:

We have a bittersweet announcement that Noelle Slocum, our Staff Accountant, is no longer with Support, Inc. Her last day was April 18th. She has moved to Germany to start a new adventure. She will be greatly missed but we are so excited for her next chapter. As we are working to fill this position, please direct any questions to accountspayable@supportinc.com

We are also working to find an Accounts Payable Coordinator to manage our vendor payments and assist with billing.

Update on Moving Family Caregiver Independent Contractor (FCG-IC) Provider Payments to ADP:

The transition to ADP for FCG-IC payments is in process and on track to begin in May.  With this transition, FCG-ICs can access their personnel files, pay stubs, see and update their contact information or direct deposit information through a secure online portal. The HR team held two Q&A sessions on April 15 and 17 to help familiarize FCG-ICs with ADP.

We are also changing the pay period from monthly to bi-weekly pay. FCG-ICs will be paid more often on a predictable schedule. Family Caregivers will be paid based on actual attendance, eliminating any prior period adjustments.  Here is the new 2025 payment schedule:

Please reach out to your Residential Team or HR hradmin@supportinc.com with any questions or concerns.  We on the finance team want to give a huge thank you to HR and the Residential team who have been instrumental in making this transition a successful and smooth one.
