Through the Family Caregiver Act, family caregivers may be eligible for both financial and non-financial support. Support, Inc. gives families maximum flexibility to create an individualized plan tailored to their needs.

Families can:

• Pay a family caregiver to provide care for a loved one
• Hire a non-family caregiver to provide care
• Cover or reimburse costs related to life events and needs outside of traditional staffing

• Training for family and non-family caregivers

Our Host Home Program providers are committed to creating nurturing, supportive and safe home environments where individuals can grow, explore and thrive. Residents are supported in homes that encourage independence, meaningful relationships and engagement in the world around them.

Our approach to Host Home services includes:

• Access to a large network of qualified Host Home Providers, offering more options and greater flexibility for individuals and families
• Person-centered matching - ensuring individuals are thoughtfully matched with homes that align with their needs, preferences, and goals
• Extensive oversight beyond regulatory standards, including monthly monitoring visits (exceeding the required quarterly visits) to promote quality, safety and continuity of care

All Host Home Providers are thoroughly pre-screened through background and reference checks and complete comprehensive home safety inspections. Providers also receive extensive, ongoing training in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities and are supported by a dedicated care team that may include a residential program coordinator, registered nurse, clinician, and public benefits specialist.

We help individuals find apartments that meet their unique needs. We also assist with general care and skills development, such as:
