Host Home Provider of the Month

We would like to congratulate, Billie Allor, for being nominated as the August Host Home Provider of the Month!! She is well deserving of this award for her continued effort of going above and beyond for the individuals she serves. Billie continues to support both Beth and Kole while still having the time to find new activities in the community for both of them. She often looks for community activities, one instance was taking Beth and Kole to a drive-in movie theater in Fountain, CO. Billie often supports Kole in difficult times of employment. He once dealt with a very difficult supervisor that at times made Kole feel a bit inadequate. It didn’t take long for Billie to have a word or two with the Supervisor but to remind Kole of how far he had come and how amazing he worked.  She once told us that this is not a job, but more like her family and that Beth is like her best friend!

Billie keeps up with all attendance, appointments and her tracking and documentation is always up to date.

Billie is thoughtful and often advocates for their needs. In one instance Beth wanted her DSP to become her host home provider if anything was to happen to Billie. Billie took it upon herself to make sure that Beth’s DSP was onboarded as a respite provider with Support Inc. just in case. She often helps Kole advocate for himself with his employment manager and Kole reports feeling like apart of Billie’s family rather than just a client living in her home. We appreciate having Billie as a part of the Support Inc. family and are so grateful of the amazing work she does! Congratulations, Billie, on being named our August Host Home Provider of the Month!!!

Summer Milestones and Accomplishments

Henry Furtua recently achieved a huge accomplishment by obtaining his driving permit. Balancing college, a summer job, and now taking this important step toward independence has been a big deal for him. We are so proud to see his hard work paying off! Thank you for letting us share in the journey and congratulations, Henry, on this amazing accomplishment!!!

Austin Durham has had an incredible summer filled with camping adventures. His family is truly remarkable in the way they create opportunities for him to be fully included. With the help of specialized equipment, they make sure that even challenging terrains don’t keep him from being a part of every adventure. Their dedication is inspiring, and Austin has loved every moment of his outdoor experiences.

Jeremy Welker has also been reaching new milestones! He started a custodial job and has been stepping out into the community more often. It was wonderful to see him at the 4th of July party this year — it’s such a joy to witness him participating in more events outside of the home. This progress is a really big step for him, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate his achievements.
